Bare Tribe Night : An Event Recap

When I first met Genevieve, the founder of Underbares (if you haven't checked out her amazing bras, do yourself a favor and do it NOW), her energy lit up the entire room. She was so excited to sit down and discuss ways to strengthen the community of creative women here in D.C. and I immediately knew I wanted to collaborate with her. After a glass or wine and some delightful conversation, the idea for the first Bare Tribe Event was born.

Bringing women together and to create space for each other was such a wonderful experience- especially since we got to do so in Fostr Collaborative, the gorgeous co-working / studio / event space I get to call home base.  After some mingling, we sat down for a mindful meditation with Joanna Andreae of Wandering Wellness, followed by more conversation, wine, food from HoneyFlower Foods, clean beauty touch ups from Ivy Wild and portrait sessions by yours truly.  I'm so happy to be able to share some shots from the evening- be SURE to stay tuned for information about the next Bare Tribe event!

Self Care in the Holiday Season (and always!)

A few months back I wrote a blog post for The Perpetual You, and after re-reading it, it's still ringing super true. The holiday season is a time when it's super easy to fall behind on taking care of yourself; you're worried about finding the perfect gifts for your loved ones, cooking big meals and possibly traveling. It's all super stressful, and thats why it's even more important to take. a. breath.

Check out this post and then find some time for a little self-care. You've earned it.
