Working with Cait Sherrick of Leocadia K.

This may sound ultra-millenial of me, but I really think the internet is such a magical place. It keeps you connected with those you love, but especially for this generation of creatives, it can be a serious tool for connecting. Case and point- my collaboration with Cait Sherrick, design maven behind the jewelry brand, Leocadia K. After following her Instagram account, and lusting after all of her gorgeous work, I was so excited to be able to work with her and shoot some of her pieces!  As Cait said, "Leocadia K. is a destination for women who want accessories and gifts that reflect their unique style, inner free spirit and fresh perspective on life".

Not only did we get to play with these gorgeous pieces, my gorg. models and I got to shoot in heaven on earth.. or at least heaven on H Street. If you haven't been to tour the Apollo, the new luxury apartment building on the historic H Street corridor, seriously stop whatever you're doing and go. Each and every design element is so purposeful and thoroughly curated, you won't believe your eyes. AND there's a Wydown coffee shop attached to their lobby... I don't know why anyone who lives there would ever leave.

Thanks so much to my lovely models on this project, Kara and Morgan!

Need some content for your upcoming brand launch, or new Summer line?

Recent Collab: Whistle & Wild

You all know how much I love working with local creative ladies; supporting other female business owners is just the best feeling and the collaborations always end up being stellar. Recently, I had a blast spending a day shooting with my girlfriend, Kara (check out more of her awesomeness on her Insta), as she modeled some amazing clothes from Whistle & Wild, a local boutique with some serious gorgeous pieces. This online boutique, owned by fashionista Amanda Nelson, is quickly becoming one of my favorites in the area! If you haven't checked out her pieces, I highly recommend it!

Navy Yard and the Yards Park is now absolutely one of my favorite locations for shoot. The light, the lines and shadows, and the mix of architectural and greenery; it's serious perfection! Although I have some REALLY dope locations lined up for some upcoming shoots, I will definitely be back at the Yards soon.

In need of some shots for your blog, your brands summer cookbook, or your modeling portfolio, let's work together!
