Mary has extensive experience designing strategy and managing social and digital content for large non-profit organizations, city-wide events, and small, entrepreneurial businesses, Mary feels very comfortable assessing a brands strengths, identifying areas for growth and consulting on how to execute a unique, on-brand digital strategy.
Event Design & Styling.
Having worked with a variety of clients and companies, Mary has cultivated an extensive array of event coordination skills. Her experience includes event design, styling and execution for large scale retreats and weddings as well as intimate brand launches and parties. Her creative eye and knack for bringing a client’s vision to life, allow her to beautifully design and style an experience to create a memorable experience for all involved.
2019 Fall For Fathom Styled Shoot
Mary was contracted to work with a team of vendors to coordinate and style the annual Fall For Fathom shoot. She was responsible for coordinating many details, including the selection of the bridal gown, creating the bride’s bouquet and styling her hair. Additionally, Mary worked with a team to style and stage various vignettes throughout the shoot, ensuring that all necessary scenes were captured, and that there would be an abundance of images to use for future styled magazine and web submissions.
Mary was hired by Lady Farmer to coordinate the details of, and provide full weekend coordination for, their first Slow Living Retreat. Mary was responsible for communicating with sponsors, vendors and participants, alike, to ensure all parties had the necessary information for a smooth and seamless event. Mary worked with the founders to finalize the retreat’s schedule, coordinate logistics around set up and break down, and ensure that all events throughout the weekend ran smoothly. Additionally, Mary designed the decor for, and styled, the elegant farm to table dinner served to guests on the first night of the retreat.
Mary was contracted by Miriam's Kitchen to help organize logistics for the organization's annual fundraising gala. Mary was tasked with creating a process for and managing the guest list, comprised of high-powered executives from many major corporations throughout the DMV area, as well as liaising with high level corporate sponsors and ensuring the best guest experience for each attendee. Additionally, Mary designed the evening's program and ensured proper ads and logos were included for all sponsors. Lastly, Mary assisted the Director of Corporate Sponsorships with overall event logistics including (but not limited to) catering tastings, technical organization, graphic design, seating charts and evening-of organization and run of show. The goal for the gala, which was to raise $400,000 to support Miriam's Kitchen's fight to end chronic and veterans' homelessness, was achieved!
